In pictures: there's a colourful pop-up lighthouse overlooking the Thames

Testing the waters for Bexley’s Greater Erith regeneration programme – devised to spark activity in the town and highlight its riverside setting – is the Erith Lighthouse, which has become a beacon for food lovers. The polycarbonate structure glows pink and blue at night from within, and is a collaboration between architects DK-CM and design studio The Decorators. The space is hosting a series of sold-out supper clubs until the end of September alongside family-friendly events that can still be booked – all linked to Erith’s connection with the Thames.

Find the Erith Lighthouse at the entrance to Erith Pier until September 24.
