There’s not a lot that can distract us from our pints down the pub. Except for dogs. Every time. Whether curled up by the fire or eyeing up our Sunday lunch, there’s not much in the world more comforting than the sight of a dog in a pub. So praise be to this new book, ‘Great British Pub Dogs’, which captures some of the country’s most lovable resident pub pooches. Let’s introduce you to some of our favourites from within the boundaries of the M25.

Coconut Chanel (just Coco to friends) is resident hound at the Chandos Arms in Colindale. She’s been known to eat the chewing gum stuck to the bottom of the pub’s tables.
