Can you find much-loved night Scared To Dance a home? After three years at Dalston venue The Moustache Bar, Scared To Dance is now looking for a new place to hold its fortnightly mix of post-punk, indie pop and new wave.

The move comes after news that The Moustache Bar is under new ownership. It’s unclear at this stage what will happen to the venue, but Scared To Dance founder Paul Richards has had to cancel all upcoming editions. As Time Out understands, other promoters of nights at The Moustache Bar have had to do the same.

All of which is sad, but not the end of the road. Do you know of a venue that could accommodate the lovely Scared To Dance crowd? Here’s what Richards is after: ‘I’m looking to stay in the Dalston/Hackney area, and for the club to continue twice a month. I’m open to ideas! We’ll reschedule booked DJs (including Josie Long, Robin Ince, BBC Radio 6 Music’s Gideon Coe and Jon Ronson) once we find a new venue, and I’m also looking for somewhere to hold our New Year’s Eve special. Please contact me through the Scared To Dance website if you can help!’ Over to you, dear readers.
