Sure, Hackney's great and everything, but the walls are a bit bare, aren't they? To help jazz up all those boring bricks, the folks at Space Explorer are running a Kickstarter campaign to create a giant outdoor art gallery, which will feature 20 billboard-sized artworks on buildings around the area. They're also launching the Space Explorer app, which will use GPS to virtually guide you around the artworks.

The first exhibition – 'Another Space & Time' – will focus on North America's desert communities and if the crowdfunding campaign is successful it will launch on October 1. They've currently raised £9,992 of their £16,000 goal, but it closes on September 7 – so if you want the streets of Hackney to get a cultural sprucing up, get pledging your support.
