If you’re partial to a ruby murray and a drop of vera lynn, get down to the Caff Culture supper club this Friday at 1950s timewarp Terry’s Cafe in Borough where they’ll be a celebrating cockney cuisine, with a contemporary twist. Ginger Jar Food will be sorting out the grub, and have prepared a menu based on souped-up versions of cockney classics: A 'Mother's Ruin' gin-based cocktail with lemon, thyme and lime pearls, Earl Grey tea-smoked pollack with white wine ‘liquor’, samphire and cockle popcorn, rhubarb and blood orange fool and a dark treacle tart.
