The continuing adventures of JK Rowling’s beloved wizard have been the biggest theatre hit of 2016, a two-part stage tour de force that’s received stunning reviews and drawn in tourists from around the globe.
Consequently it’s an absolute bugger to get a ticket, with the weekly ‘Friday Forty’ the source of much heartbreak for fans as they desperately scrap for 40 tickets for the following week to see what Harry did next.
But now it’s time for the first actual extension of the show’s run since before it opened. The dates are, *wince* December 13 2017 to Feb 4 2018, so let’s hope Trump doesn’t actually end the world in the next couple of years.
You’ll be able to book from 11am tomorrow on the show’s official website only: that’s www.harrypottertheplay.com.
Best of luck! Though if you fail, the relatively short extension to the run bodes well for more tickets going on sale soon after.
‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ is at the Palace Theatre. Until Feb 4 2018.
