With most of us glued to our mobiles, it's no surprise that landlines are in danger of becoming as redundant as the VCR. If yours is gathering dust – maybe you're part of the 24 percent wasting potential cocktail money on a phone you don't use – you can swap it for a free coffee and croissant from today until Friday.
The pop-up has been launched by wireless internet provider Relish, which found that 61 percent of Londoners only have a landline because of that valuable broadband connection, so they'll no doubt be chatting to you about their 'plug & play' broadband service while making your free flat white.
The Landline Exchange Cafe takes place at Soho Grind – 19 Beak Street, Soho, W1F 9RP from today until Fri Dec 2.
