Already had your fill of Christmas sandwiches and mince pies? Good news – Vivek Singh, the chef behind Cinnamon Club, is opening Cinnamon Bazaar in Covent Garden this week, and it sounds like the perfect antidote to all that festive fare.
The restaurant will be serving up Indian dishes with a twist, inspired by flavours from other cuisines, including a Middle Eastern-inspired millet, date, tamarind and pomegranate salad, Iranian chicken haleem, and a chaat cart where you can choose your own flavour combinations. Mixologist extraordinaire Ryan Chetiyawardana aka Mr Lyan is behind the booze, so you can expect great things from the drinks menu, too.
It officially opens on December 1, but they're offering 50 percent off all food from today until November 30, so you can sample the menu without making too much of a dent in your bank balance before you have to blow it all on Christmas presents.
Cinnamon Bazaar is at 28 Maiden Lane, Covent Garden, WC2E 7JS. Get 50 percent off food November 28, 29 and 30.
