Cottons, one of London’s oldest Caribbean restaurants, is opening a branch in Shoreditch next Monday (June 19). To celebrate, it’s giving away free jerk chicken and barbecue ribs! All you have to do to get yours is turn up at noon, follow Cottons on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram and share one of their #JerkMadness posts about the giveaway. We’re not so sure about that hashtag, but this jerk does sound good – Cottons grill and smoke their meat with hickory and pimiento, before smothering it with a mysterious ‘secret homemade sauce’.
The catch? There are only 200 free wings and ribs up for grabs, so get there early to avoid disappointment. There’s also a tiki-style bar at the Shoreditch branch with 235 different rums – so even if you miss the free meat, you won’t go thirsty.
