Four places to get your pumpkin pie fix this autumn

Advertising

Now that autumn's well underway, we can focus on the important things, like the fact that leaves are starting to cover the ground and that it’s acceptable to wear boots and scarves again. It’s also that time of year that we all crave pumpkin everything. Pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin ale, and, of course, pumpkin pie. The holy grail of American treasures, this baby has taken London by storm.

Of course, if you're anything like us, you're craving your pumpkin pie fix ahead of Thanksgiving, so to save you the hassle of relying only on Whole Foods for your pumpkin pie needs, we’ve found the places you can get a slice this month.

1. Hummingbird Bakery, various locations

You can always rely on these cupcake wizards to bring the best of America to London. Their pumpkin pie is actually a year-round staple on the menu. It’s good as gold and our bets are that they’ll be flying off the shelves in the coming weeks.

2. Victoria Yum, Dalston

This cool kid in Dalston not only does proper pies which you can pretend you've made to impress your mates, but it has a new pumpkin-y addition to the menu – fresh pumpkin, stem ginger, almond and maple spiced cake. And it's gluten free, so yes, we’re sold. Or if you’re feeling like getting quirky with your pumpkin intake, a must-try is the spiced pumpkin cheesecake brownie.

3. Jackson + Rye, Soho

One of your favourite American restaurants is making sure to bring the pumpkin love this October. The homemade pumpkin pie at Jackson + Rye will be available for £4.50 with mascarpone cream and maple syrup until November 6. It’s a small window, so get your orders in.

Forget about restaurants, you can get your pumpkin pie fix from Brett & Bailey, which can be found at Crystal Palace food market most weekends. Their pecan pumpkin pie is a dream. They also deliver FULL PIES. So, if you want to pretend you're ordering it for a party, but want the entire thing for yourself, you’ve found the place. Shameless dessert indulgence required.
