Admit it: we've all thought about tossing out a piece of clothing at the drop of a button. But if you know your needle and thread game ain’t up to scratch, a company is on a mission to show us how to make our good gear last a lifetime.
Patagonia’s Worn Wear Tour will be popping into London at the end of the month to fix any sort of garment for free. Whether it’s a broken zip, a loose button or an unfortunate rip, you can take your clothes down to one of the repair shops and it'll be sorted out for absolutely nada. Why the good deed? Well, according to eco-charity WRAP, we can limit our carbon, waste and water footprint by 20-30 percent by saving our clothes from the scrapheap – and Patagonia reckons this is one way we can do our bit for the environment. Mending our threads and planet Earth? Sounds like a plan.
The Worn Wear Tour will be in London April 26–28 at Boxpark Shoreditch and Spitalfields, 11am-7pm. For more details visit the Patagonia website.
