'Stranger Things' has already won Halloween 2016. Venues across London are turning up the fog and preparing a soundtrack of retro synths in preparation for themed nights dedicated to the culty, supernatural Netflix show.
The desire for London fans to dress up as nerdy fashion icon Barb or the demonic Demogorgon monster has been so strong that some have already been sold out for weeks, so sooner rather than later, here's some ways to spend a 'Stranger Things' Halloween.
Hugely popular night Strangest Things has been swiftly taking over the UK, riding into cities with a raft of ‘80s tunes, a chopper and shrine to Barb. Demand was so high for their Halloween event at Oslo that the organisers added two extra nights at The Garage. Oct 30 has already sold out but if you’re quick you can grab tickets for Monday night.
There’s also a slim chance on the door for Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen’s Night Call Stranger Things Halloween Special on October 28 where you can sip rum punch ‘Stranger Tings’ as Starsmith go heavy on nu-wave.
Ruby’s Bar and Lounge is throwing 'Stranger Things'-themed cocktails and Lucky Chip’s Demogorgon Sliders on top of retro music and decorations at their night on October 28.
Hackney wine bar Farley Macallan on Morning Lane could be a good choice with fake blood cocktail included in the ticket price.
And finally you could end the weekend pitting your knowledge against other fans at the Stranger Quiz on October 30 at the Prince Charles Cinema.
