On Wednesday December 7, Westminster Cathedral and Cardinal Place Roof Garden is most definitely the place to be if you’re looking to put a lot more sparkle in your festive season. Especially for It’s Christmas in Victoria where there’ll be goodwill to all, great food and drink plus plenty of fabulous shopping thrown in. How much are we loving this? Let us count the ways…

1. There’s a festive market

From noon the Cathedral Piazza and Cardinal Place will be transformed into a charmingly wintery enclave of cosy wood huts selling foodie treats like gingerbread houses and handmade gifts. Uniquely, and very classily, the market will also be selling collectibles from The Royal Collection, all in association with Partridges.

2. You can shop 'til late

The market is staying open until 9.30pm so even if you’re working late, you won’t miss out on the chance to sip a delicious hot chocolate whilst browsing. There is also late night shopping at many of the stores in Cardinal Place and on Victoria Street, plus you can enjoy the roaming festive entertainment all adding to the Christmas sparkle.

3. There’s a star-studded charity carol concert.

The spirit of Christmas is captured in a heartwarming concert of music and readings at Westminster Cathedral at 7.30pm. The cathedral choir will be accompanied by London Brass, and guest readers include TV presenters David Dimbleby and Alex Jones, former footballer Sol Campbell, Cathy Corcoran OBE and Fiona Barratt-Campbell, one of Victoria’s leading businesswomen. Also joining them will be the winner of Victoria's local junior school story writing competition. Tickets for the concert are £15 and all proceeds go to homeless charity the Cardinal Hume Centre.

4. … and a post-concert rooftop reception

Ticketholders to the carol concert are invited to an exclusive reception at Cardinal Place Roof Garden. It’s a beautiful spot to toast this special evening. Even better – guests will be treated to delicious samples from Greenwood, Timmy Green, Crosstown Doughnuts and Sourced Market, just some of the exciting names opening in Nova, Victoria.

M Restaurant & Wine Store

5. You’re surrounded by celebration

Some of Victoria’s greatest shops, bars and restaurants will be offering special deals and providing entertainment into the evening, too. M Restaurant & Wine Store, for example, will be offering free personalised engraving on any bottle of wine bought on the day, there will be a DJ playing in-store and you’ll enjoy 50 percent off cocktails. Jamie’s Italian, Ibérica, Timmy Green, Wagamama and T2 will also be open late with special offers. Need somewhere to stay? The Nadler Victoria Hotel is offering ticket holders a 25% discount for any room on the evening of December 7.
