Five great new venues to check out in September

Advertising

As the cool September breezes slowly push us from the parks, we're going to have to get clued-up on where to spend our evenings. But fear not: there are some brand new venues opening this month where you can huddle inside and have an amazing time. We asked venue experts Hire Space for the coolest new spots to hit up this month.

1. RÖK Smokehouse

Rök Smokehouse has just opened in Shoreditch and is being heralded as the city's very first Nordic smokehouse. Don't really know what a Nordic smokehouse is? Don't worry, neither did we. What you can expect are some exquisite British meats prepped locally at Cobble Lane in Islington, which will be pickled, brined and smoked following old family recipes. The perfect comfort food for September evenings and well deserving of a ✭✭✭✭✭ Time Out review.

2. Noir W1

Continuing the theme of smoke is Noir W1, which is about to revolutionise contemporary shisha culture. No more fumbling around with faulty patio heater buttons – you can smoke their shishas indoors! How? They're introducing a new form of shisha called 'Airdiems', which uses vaporising technology and is therefore legal to use inside. Welcome to the twenty-first century's version of an opium den.

3. Mondo Brewery Company Tap House

The guys behind Mondo Brewery Company seriously love beer. They love it so much that they've just elevated their private brewery to a public taproom, where taps are literally bursting out of the walls. Now we can all share their love for beer, which is infused with exotic influences from places as far away as Japan. Head on down and drink it in.

4. Le Restaurant de PAUL, Tower 42

If your only experience of Paul is picking up a quick sandwich in a train station, you need to check out the brand new Le Restaurant de PAUL, sister of the patisserie chain. With meat from Donald Russell (that's the Queen's butcher, no less), and an in-house boulangerie offering monthly bread-making courses, you can really delve into some fine French dining. Think hearty French classics like cotelettes d'agneau and aiglefin fume au pistou.

5. Zetter Townhouse Marylebone

Welcome to Zetter Townhouse Marylebone, a staggering 24-bedroom Georgian townhouse. This isn't just another top boutique London hotel: it's being tipped as the capital's definitive new celebrity haunt. Emma Watson and Ellie Goulding have already been spotted there, and with drinks being devised by 'the Heston Blumenthal of the drinks world', Tony Conigliaro, it's set to be a big fixture this September.
