Everyone's Instagramming: Yinka Ilori's classy Estate Playground

Advertising

Influenced by the playgrounds he knew as a nipper growing up on a north London council estate, Yinka Ilori’s LDF offering is a playable installation titled Estate Playground. Basically, he’s made a playground for big kids to enjoy without feeling like complete idiots or breaking a swing. Expect the aesthetics to be far classier than the jungle gyms of your youth: Ilori has ditched chipped paint and declarations of love made with a Sharpie for slick, popping patterns that nod to his African heritage. Go for a swing, slide and spin until you’re giddy at the entrance of CitizenM hotel chain’s Shoreditch branch.

Use the playground for free in Shoreditch until September 24.
