Eight drinks you mustn't miss at London Cocktail Week

We can’t believe these banging drinks will only cost a fiver throughout London Cocktail Week. Whack on your wristband and get to the bar before the week is out.

Java of Skye at Black Rock

Not far from LCW’s Spitalfields hub, Black Rock should be your first stop after picking up your wristband. The Java of Skye has a smoky whisky base and contains ‘atomised Skye essence’. Whaaaaa?

The Drink that Won the West at Portobello Star

Gin fans should flock to Notting Hill to try this one. It contains a blend of seven gins. I don’t think there’s much more to say on the subject, really.

Avocado + apple + chamomile at Sager + Wilde

This is basically good for you. And after a week of indulgence, you’ll need a bit of balance back in your life. (Warning: also contains tequila.)

Bhuna Colada at Cocktail Trading Company

Don’t let the name deceive you – there’s not a whiff of rum in sight. Instead, these cocktail jokers serve a vodka-based pineapple drink with ‘Brick Lane spices’ and a pickle on the side.

Frat Pack Punch at The Bling Pig

London Cocktail Week can feel a little like a fancy Fresher’s Week, really (only with less cider). Try the Blind Pig’s Frat Pack Punch to really feel it, with whisky, orange and lemon sherbet churned up and poured from a slushy machine.

Backyard Sour at Rum Kitchen

Choose your Rum Kitchen – Brixton, Notting Hill or Soho – and then get going on a totally tropical mix of rum, lime, pineapple and a dreamy pineapple mint foam.

Sesame Rollin’ at Oskar’s Bar at Dabbous

Great pun. Great bar. You won’t be hatin’ the Sesame Rollin’, a trendy, slightly Oriental mix of vodka, lemon, shiso, crème de violette and sesame seeds.

Bananadrama at Ruby’s

Ain’t no drama here, just a dessert-like drink to end your LCW crawl on a high. Rum, sherry and banana are a match made in heaven for condensed milk and (OMG) pecan bitters.
