Here’s your essential party schedule for the weekend ahead.
#LoveAlwaysWins with Mr. Ties
Techno house DJ Mr Ties teamed up with Brixton’s Phonox Bar and Kaleidoscope Trust to use his all night set as a fundraiser for LGBT charities following the horrific shootings at Pulse night club in Orlando. Ties will definitely bring an eclectic mix of house, disco, techno, choice art sounds and snippets to this eight-hour long marathon plus, hopefully, his trademark leather harness. Phonox. Fri Jul 22.
Camposphere
We love that the Camposphere’s nights celebrate the glory, beauty and strength of campness. Inspired by ‘space, camp, funk Barbarella’, they host queer live music events with intergalactic vibes. July’s edition promises squeaky pop, dirty disco and clouds of glitter, with performances from KStewart, Girli, Joey Fourr, Latexxx and TheMenWhoFell2Earth. And to top it all proceeds from the night go to LGBTQIA+ charity, London Friend. Resistance Gallery. Sat Jul 23.
Brixton’s Summer Disco Fiesta
This all day and night terrace party promises 12 hours of sun-kissed party music and while actual sunshine might be tricky to deliver, disco lovers Tiger & Woods will guarantee the impression of heat with their summery tunes. The lineup is seriously impressive and feelgood, including The Revenge, Dr Packer, Le Family Club and a number of Shut The Front Door DJs who will play amidst disco balls, BBQ, a custom carnival DJ booth and mountains of glitter. Brixton Jamm. Sat Jul 23.
Sofrito London Summer Session
Fresh from celebrating their tenth birthday this year the tropical dance collective/label will be holding a mighty 11-hour summer cookout at Shapes with a roster of the family DJs ready to bring shimmering Afro-Latin sounds, a simmering barbecue and tropical vibe. Shapes. Sat Jul 23.
