Forget crappy disposal barbecues and burnt sausages – Alexandra Palace has got al fresco fun covered this summer with the return of its street food and craft beer festival. StrEATlife will be taking over the palace grounds on June 17-18, July 22-23 and August 19-20 for four weekends of food, booze and great views. It kicks off this weekend – and the best part? It’s free to get in, so you don’t have to worry about booking tickets and you can just spend your hard-earned cash on the most important stuff, like food.

Speaking of which, they’ve lined up more than 30 street food stalls, including mac ’n’ cheese favourites Anna Maes, fried-chicken fiends Mother Clucker and meaty maestros Bodean’s. All that eating is thirsty work, obviously – but they’ll have plenty of cocktails and more than 20 craft and cask beers from the likes of The Five Points Brewing Company, Crate Brewery and Redemption Brewing Company to keep you well hydrated.

As well as being fed and watered, you’ll also be entertained by live music on Saturdays and DJs on Sundays. This weekend, the line-up includes the Showhawk Duo and DJs from Reggae Roast.  Plus, they’ll have live street art at each event. The line-up will vary each weekend, but you can get more info here.

And seeing as it’s at Alexandra Palace, you’ll get some pretty sweet panoramic views over London so you can soak up the sights as well as the (hopefully!) sun.

Here’s a sneak preview of what you can expect:

StrEATlife is on at Alexandra Palace on June 17-18, July 22-23 and August 19-20.
