Did you know… you can now hang out in the middle of Old Street roundabout?

Have you noticed that Old Street station's been smelling curiously delicious for the last week? That's due to the fact that the roundabout has turned into a bar and street-food hub. It's been renamed the Magic Roundabout, there's a bar up there packed with Beavertown craft beers, DJs, plus street-food stalls including an offering from the makers of one of the city's best burgers, Burger Bear. There's also the awesomely named seafood stall Prawnography, from Jim Tomlinson, a Michelin-trained chef who also previously ran Fry Hard, the deep-fat-fried pop-up that opened last Easter. It's open all day from 7am to 11pm – for lunch and dinner – and right now, it's such a well-kept secret that it's a blissfully quiet spot for a post-work drink. We'd get in there quick, though. We're guessing that's going to change pretty soon.

Find out more about the Prawnographer and Burger Bear.
