You know that dated and basically xenophobic cliché that all French people are obsessed with cheese? We would never subscribe to that, but, well, we're just pointing out that a new service has launched in Paris that delivers emergency cheese to its citizens within an hour. City-dwellers sitting at home with dairy cravings - pining for a chunk of chèvre or a morsel of gruyère - need do little more than log on to www.labellevie.com, where they'll discover products from an array of artisan suppliers that can be delivered within 60 minutes. Each cheese comes with a little story about its history, and some serving suggestions (though presumably most people just serve it straight into their mouth). What's more, Labellevie's fromage is totally affordable, too. Brie-eautiful.
