Know what we find absolutely exhilarating? Construction. Seriously, we can’t walk past a building site in this town without our pulse going through the roof and feverish perspiration forming puddles at our feet.
Okay, so scaffolding and cement mixers are just about the dullest things you could wish to encounter in London, but chuck a few decades’ worth of hindsight into the mix and suddenly things become altogether more fascinating.
