An environmental waste clearance agency has discovered an urn full of ashes and is looking for anyone 'in the London area' who might have misplaced or lost one. The urn was discovered by EnviroWaste during a waste haul in London on November 4. Thankfully, it had been catalogued as worthy of restoration or repurposing.
EnviroWaste has created a contact page with an image of the urn, for members of the public who may have any information to share.
James Rubin owner of EnviroWaste said: 'It’s very sad to think that someone may be missing a loved one’s remains and even if discarding the urn wasn’t a mistake, I know I would sleep better at night knowing we did all we could to reunite the urn with its owner! The urn itself is beautiful and in very good condition so my gut feeling is that it was cherished and probably not meant to be discarded. I hope that our appeal is successful because I’m not sure what we would do with it!'
