Forget the spring cleaning. It’s all about the summer spruce-up. That’s certainly the case at Boxpark Shoreditch, the shopping mall and street food mecca made from shipping containers by Shoreditch High Street Station. The popular destination has had a shake-up of its restaurant traders to celebrate everybody’s favourite season.
Now, on the first floor you can now find new faces Nosteagia serving up Taiwanese sweet treats, including #trending bubble waffles. Joining them is Coqfighter, a fried chicken vendor that has already made a name for itself. They serve up battered wings with a nifty paintbrush on the side, so you can go DIY and apply sauces yourself. The other big food news is that old favourite CookDaily has expanded to two units, such is the popularity of the vegan bowl food with a Southeast Asian lean being dished up.
The final adjustment to the line-up that has us more excited for summer than that moment when the Macarena bass line drops: adult ball pit party base BallieBallerson will be taking over a ground floor unit for a ball pit pop-up in the ‘ditch. They’re calling it ‘Box Balls’, and it looks like an absolute, erm, ball.
Boxpark Shoreditch is at 2-10 Bethnal Green Rd, E1 6GY, and is open daily, 11am-11pm.
