Brand new images from the set of the Harry Potter prequel

JK Rowling is keeping schtum about the Harry Potter prequel ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’, but new pictures from the set are here, giving us a few clues. Here’s what we know.

This is JK Rowling’s first script, and it's set in New York 70 years before the Harry Potter books, with Eddie Redmayne playing eccentric magizoologist Newt Scamander. Potter-nerds will know that Scamander is the author of Hogwarts textbook ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’. The plot will involve his beasty-carrying magical briefcase and New York’s wizards, who are in hiding from Muggles (expect they’re called No-Maj in the US). Samantha Morton, Colin Farrell and Ezra Miller co-star. ‘Fantastic Beasts’ is out in November 2016.
