Aphex Twin is playing at Field Day 2017

Most ‘facts’ about Aphex Twin tend to be complete and utter nonsense.

Since he began expanding curious minds around 1992 with his unique take on techno, acid and jungle, a myriad of myths have built up around the Cornish legend: he once lived on that roundabout in Elephant & Castle, he drives around in a tank, and our personal favourite, that he ‘christens’ every new bit of studio kit he aquires in a bizarre onanistic ritual.

Thankfully, the following is 100 percent true: Aphex Twin will be headlining his first UK show in almost a decade at next year’s Field Day festival. It’s doubly exciting for the Victoria Park festival, as his show will be held in a new, hangar-like indoor arena, called The Barn. What will the show involve? Let the myth-making begin...
