Thought we’d reached peak avocado? Think again. Street food market Last Days of Shoreditch has announced it will be opening London’s first dedicated avocado bar on Thursday May 25. And you know what? It feels so right.
The brainchild of Italian street-food traders Belli Freschi, the avocado bar menu sounds healthy and summery with a little bit of Mediterranean sex appeal thrown in – from an exotic-sounding avocado tempura with Italian herb dips to an avocado burger in a crostini bun. They’ll also be selling a slightly dubious-sounding avocado hot dog with caramelised carrot.
The avocado bar is part of Last Days of Shoreditch’s revamp for summer 2017, which is taking on a Riviera look. Alongside the avos there’ll be cocktails, DJs and an ‘urban beach’, complete with palm trees and decking. So if you’re over-cado, give it another chance. Your Instagram feed needs this.
Last Days of Shoreditch Riviera launches at 288 Old St, EC1V 9LA, on Thursday May 25 and will be open Thursday-Saturday throughout the summer. Entry is free on Thursdays, Fridays and after 9pm on Saturdays.
