TfL has announced that Bank station will be undergoing a major refurbishment, which will make changing trains in that 'Crystal Maze'-like labyrinth of tunnels packed with briefcase-wielding high flyers slightly less hellish. The plans include a new entrance with two new lifts, four new escalators and a new ticket hall, which will open in 2017. The work kicks off this weekend when they'll be closing the Waterloo & City line subway – which provides access to and from the DLR and Northern line platforms - until August 2016. But don't panic - you'll still be able to access all lines through the Northern ticket hall on weekdays and via the Central line platforms at weekends.
