Joni Mitchell famously sang about paving paradise and putting up a parking lot, but now the opposite is about to happen in London. The former BBC Television Centre car park is about to get turned into a street foodie paradise, thanks to the arrival of Pergola on the Roof, which is taking up residency on the building's rooftop this May.

Underneath one of the biggest temporary pergolas in Europe (a giant overhead framework with a load of hanging plants), they'll have seating for 400 people, as well as a seriously tasty line-up of street food traders including Salt Yard, LeCoq, Rabbit and burger legends Patty & Bun. The pop-up officially opens on May 26 and if you sign their visitor book online, you can also nab yourself a free drink when you arrive.

Pergola on the Roof opens at Television Centre, Wood Lane, W12 7RJ. May 26–August 28.
