A billowing cloud of thick black smoke tainted the blue sky in north London today as a fire spread through Rio's, the Kentish Town spa popular with naturists.
Four fire engines and 21 firefighters were called to the scene at 1pm this afternoon. It is believed the fire started in one of the sauna cabins between Raglan Street and Kentish Town High Road. It took just under two hours to get the flames under control and the Fire Brigade has said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
The blaze left the ground floor of the sauna damaged but thankfully there have been no reports of casualties.

First Chariots closes and now this. Not a great year for London's 'spa' users. Thanks 2016.
