We love Monday mornings (said no one, ever), so trust The Black Penny in Covent Garden to feel our pain. The café's decided to ease London into the new week with another one of their super penny deals. And this time, it's a cheeky shot of whisky for your hot drink for just 1p before you head in to work.
That's not a typo, people. It's whisky. For a penny. In the AM. They reckon that in these wintry, virus-infested months, there's nothing like taking it old-school with 'medicine' that might kill a cold (although it's such a shame the same can't be said for hangovers, but there you go).
So if you need a bit of help to drag yourself into the office, the offer is running 8am–10am every day from today (January 18) until Friday. But before you start emptying out all your loose change, you've got to be 18 or over to take up the deal and there's only one whisky coffee per person. Remember London, it's only Monday.
