It’s that time of year again! Nope, not to dust off your copy of 'Now That’s What I Call Christmas!' and stretch out that itchy nylon reindeer jumper (just wait one more week will you? One!). It's Black Friday! What’s that? You’re not a yankophile bargain lout on a single-minded seasonal quest for a cheap TV? Er, us neither.
Anyway, this year, you can stick one in the eye of the retail fat-cats by heading to Neapolitan pizza titans Franco Manca. Instead of offering cut-price chow, they’ll be donating £1 to the Shepherd's Bush Families Project & Children’s Centre for every pizza sold at their Westfield outpost, with cash raised helping the homeless and hard-up at a tough time of year. Who ever thought that shovelling cheese and meat down your gullet could be a benevolent act? Charity never tasted so good.
Franco Manca is at Westfield London, Ariel Way, Shepherds Bush, W12 7GF.
In other news, a super-rare beer is launching in London this week.
