This City Road pub might not have the most enticing of facades but inside many of still-on-trend boxes are ticked with the decor inside. That means bare brick walls, hanging filaments, church hall pews and fridges crammed with craft beers such as Anchor Steam Beer, Brooklyn Lager and a trio from London Fields Brewery.
A long drinks list offers cocktails too, with jugs of sangria, Pimm's and a Royal Star rum punch alongside mai tais, singapore slims, negronis and mojitos. The wine list focuses on the old world, with bottles supplemented by those from the USA, Argentina and New Zealand.
There's plenty of choice on the food menu, with options ranging from pizzas, pasta and burgers to traditional fish and chips and pan-fried salmon with chargrilled prawns and a rocket salad in a mango, papaya and red pepper sauce.
