The beautiful view from this Richmond boozer are one of its real draws - you're a fair hike up Richmond Hill, so rural Petersham and a long stretch of the Thames provide the panorama. The only bad bit? The occasional passing plane puncturing the idyll.
It's mostly about the booze here with the food menu pretty much comprising British pub grub - think fish and chips, pie and mash, ham, egg and chips and burgers. An inexpensive Sunday roast is served up, too.
It's a Taylor Walker pub, so expect to see a few of their own drops on cask, alongside London Pride, guest ales and continental lagers on draught. A short wine list features worlds old and new.
