Located just off Fleet Street, Hack & Hop is a 'local beer house' serving a large, changing selection of craft beers and ales alongside a seasonal food menu. Their food menu features a number of tweaks on classic modern gastropub fare, such as steak tartare with quail’s egg and a ‘sausage board’ for two featuring five different varieties served with condiments and bread.
Hack & Hop also offers ‘bespoke menus’ for large groups under the headings of 'pies', 'table dishes' and 'beasts'. The beasts include Gascony black suckling pig, roast haunch of wild boar, and Brick Lane chicken with Bombay roasties, bhajis and spiced greens. They also do Sunday roasts (at lunchtime only).
The Hack & Hop 'brewers of the month' series proves popular, too. Expect a variety of local brewers showcasing their wares.
