Time Out says

Decked out like a church cum castle, with ornate wood pannels, stone walls and cushioned pews, Waxy O'Connors is a characterful Irish bar.

As expected, Irish beers are on offer, including Caffreys, Guinness and Rebel Red on tap. The food menu features an all-day cooked breakfast, meat pies, burgers, ribs and more pub grub.

Waxy's hosts regular sports screenings, there's live music almost every night and they go large on St Patrick's Day (celebrating for an entire week in 2017).

Head to either of Waxy O’Connor’s central London locations – the sprawling superpub on Wardour Street or the slightly smaller outpost on Rupert Street – for great craic on St Paddy’s Day. Good fun and lashings of Guinness is guaranteed; wearing a shamrock-green bucket hat is optional.
