Time Out says

Built on the site of a coaching inn first opened in the 1600s, this Victorian pub on the corner of Stoke Newington High Street is one of the largest in the area, and has plenty going on inside. Its large front dining room is presided over by Head Chef Ousmane Gaye, who cut his teeth at Holborn Dining Room and serves up a seasonal British menu that includes an ever-popular Sunday roast and a Pie of the Week special. The back room stays open late on Fridays and Saturdays, with DJs playing disco, funk and world music until 2.30am, and it also hosts jazz musicians on Saturday afternoons. Downstairs you’ll find The Waiting Room, a 120-capacity venue that stays open until 3.30am on weekends, and is home to regular clubnights like Mousetrap and UK Hun? as well as gigs from promoters Snap, Crackle & Pop.
