The Queen Adelaide rose from the ashes of beloved east London gay pub the George & Dragon, which closed down in 2015. Opened by the same owner just a mile up the same road, it soon had the capital’s queer hipsters flocking back. The QA has similarly kitsch decor to the George – look out for the famous horse’s head – but it is also a bit of an upgrade: this time, the merriment spreads out over two floors, and there’s a 3am licence at the weekends. Let the polysexual party rage on!
