This welcoming, family-run Forest Hill pub is a little gem, prized by locals for its home-cooked food and much-loved resident pig, Frances Bacon. The pretty beer garden is an attractive hangout spot on sunny days, but this pub really excels at wintry cosiness, thanks to its wood-panelled interior and roaring fire. Go along on Wednesday nights for folk music by resident band, The Conquering Heroes.
