This Pentonville pub is from the group behind the Simmons chain of cocktail bars, known for their cocktails in teapots and homages to '90s childhoods. So why doesn't The Amwell Arms share the name? Well, for starters it's a proper pub, with a much more sedate look.
Cocktails are less of a focus, too, with draught and craft beers from Brooklyn Brewery, Meantime, Camden Town, Amstell, Peroni and Estrella. There's food too, courtesy of pies from the Square Pie company – expect steak and ale, chicken and mushroom, chicken and bacon and spinach and goat's cheese.
And if you really want a cocktail? They'll rustle you up an old fashioned, a bloody mary or a mojito, but don't come here expecting teapots or skulls encrusted with diamante.
