Drinks and food are given equal prominence at this good-looking gastropub on Dalling Road, in Hammersmith. Both are served in a venue that gets the classy boozer look pretty much down - think chesterfields, leather armchairs, a roaring fire and lots of impeccably reclaimed wood.
There looks to be plenty of adventure on the food menu, with dishes ranging from a cassoulet with slow cooked duck, pork belly and Toulouse sausage to pan fried cod fillet with scordalia, cavolo nero and pickled beetroot, with a fresh mint and lemon yoghurt dressing. Steak and chips, poshed-up pies and a decent looking burger offer more recognisable pub-grub staples.
The wine list covers worlds old and new, with a good number of good bottles available by the glass thanks to a Coravin wine system. A more than healthy range of ales are on draught, with big-hitters alongside those from smaller, local brewers.
