A new café bar at Somerset House taking influence from Sir James Pennethorne's 19th century tour around Europe - a trip taking in Paris, Parma, Modena, Bologna, Rome, Siena, Florence, Pisa and Genoa.
Lunch dishes range from roast beef served with blue cheese, grilled red onions and maple syrup on rye bread to smoked Cornish mackerel with pickled white cabbage and caraway seeded soda bread. Evening meals comprise small plates, with cured meats, cheeseboards and salads on offer.
Breakfast options include pastries, muffins and smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels. There is a coffee brew bar too, with a selection of single-origin coffees alongside a bean of the month - available in espressos, macchiatos, americanos, cappuccinos, lattes and flat whites.
