This tiny Kentish Town basement bar (seating for 30-odd) features low lighting, a delightfully mashed-up decor, great music, and a resident jack russell named Otto. Take your seat, take your paper bag of popcorn, tuck in while you peruse the short, inventive drinks list.
There’s a lot of hard work involved in making these drinks, own-made infusions and the like, but the effect is always one of classic simplicity. The house drinks all come with a bespoke food accompaniment, a classy touch, and their prices reflect that. Other cocktails are cheaper than they should be, given the quality.
Because the place is so tiny, and offers table service only (including low tables in cosy vaults), you’d do well to book via email if you’re planning a visit. Knowhere Special is very special indeed.
