Set on a corner of Soho Square, the Edge draws visitors of all kinds but caters mainly to a gay crowd: diners and coffee-sippers by day, clubbers by night.
It’s divided into four floors: the street-level main bar and terrace tables; the first floor Hygge Lounge and ‘alfresco’ second floor, both designed by Saatchi & Saatchi with chichi decor to match; and the third-floor Club Bar, which has great views over the square.
Downstairs, to a backdrop of music videos over the bar and a woozy display of 15 colour-changing squares over one wall, customers tuck into stomach-lining grub beneath a Sputnik-esque starburst ball of light.
There are cocktails here as well, including the fun-loving likes of a Bomberry Sling (Bombay Sapphire, Chambord, strawberry purée, lime juice and pineapple juice). San Miguel and Carlsberg Cold are the draught lager standards.
