It’s not much to look at – an awkward shape at the bottom of a newbuild block – but Cask has been blazing the trail for better beer for years. Its fridges and cellar are filled with an absurdly generous range of the finest brews from London, Britain and beyond, with something to satisfy the most ardent hophead or convert the most timid quaffer of fizzy yellow lager. Staff really know their stuff too – ask for a recommendation and you won’t be disappointed.
