Considering we’re not exactly renowned for our Mediterranean weather, London has some top options when it comes to rooftop bars. Where the likes of Frank’s Café in Peckham keep it (relatively) simple, Boundary Shoreditch has gone for all-out glamour. The building is host to 17 boutique hotel rooms, two restaurants and several bars – including this glitzy rooftop venue. With impressive optimism, the place has a pretty Med-styled look, thanks to all those terracotta pots filled with glorious foliage. The drinks menu, too, jostles with sunny cocktails and spritzes, while the food runs from the Boundary burger to generous sharing plates. Don’t worry: there are plenty of heaters for when London weather attacks.
Time Out tip
There’s also a fireplace – yes, an outdoor one! Bag your spot early, as it’s, well, a bit of a hotspot.
Dine in
In-keeping with Boundary’s do-everything approach, the rooftop bar also features the Orangery, a light-drenched, glass-covered dining room. Order from the dessert menu and you can literally have your cake and eat it.
