You might know this Bavarian beer hall from its previous incarnation, over on Essex Street. It proved a popular enough enterprise for it to up-sticks to this larger City location, taking over the site of what was once Henry's Bar, on the edge of Smithfield.
There's a focus on authenticity here, so expect beech wood bars, spruce panelling and German speaking staff garbed out in traditional Bavarian dirndl dresses and lederhosen. They'll be serving pints and steins of German beers - including three house drops created in collaboration with the Bavarian brewery Müllerbräu in Neuötting - alongside ciders, schnapps, wines and champagne.
The food menu keeps things German, too. Dishes range from pretzels, Bavarian-style sausage salads and currywurst with fries to 'hunter style' schnitzels, traditional German meatloaf, sausage platters and bierkutschergulasch mit semmelknödel - a beef, pork and beer goulash popular in Munich.
Bundesliga matches are screened on Fridays and Saturdays, too.
