Time Out says

A Fuller’s boozer of dark wood, frosted glass and leather-upholstered banquettes in bottle green, the Artillery is the classic spot for the post-work quiet pint. Too petite to create an annoying bar crush, it offers its customers two modest drinking and dining spaces around the centrepiece bar counter, where George Gale Spring Sprinter is dispensed along with the standard Fuller’s favourites (Chiswick, ESB, Discovery, London Pride).

Food is a big draw here, the prices set for a City-based clientele, notably the pie of the day with seasonal vegetables and roast potatoes, and the leek, pea and sun-blushed-tomato risotto. Even the light bites (Welsh rarebit with salad, a humble pork pie) cost the best part of a fiver or more. Still, set on a quiet, leafy street opposite Bunhill Fields Burial Ground, it also provides smokers with a tranquil spot for outdoor chatter.
