The largest, and oldest, occupied castle in the world, Windsor (one of the Queen's official residences) encapsulates 900 years of British history in its 26-acre site. St George's Chapel, one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in Britain, contains the tombs of ten sovereigns including Henry VIII and Charles I. The State Apartments contain masterpieces from the Royal Collection by Rembrandt, Rubens, Gainsborough and others. Other highlights include Queen Mary's doll's house and The Drawings Gallery, which shows material from the Royal Library.
Prices of tickets are dependent on whether the State Apartments are open or closed, with group tickets (15+) providing discounts. All admission prices include a multimedia tour. For general information, facts and visitor info, please head to the official site.
