Time Out says

Why go?
It might not be the biggest of London's city farms, but it's arguably the cutest. Vauxhall City Farm is a lovingly tended spot that's full of handpainted signs, pretty flowers, and art celebrating its animal inhabitants. You'll find all the usual suspects in residence here: cows, sheep, pigs, and goats, plus a trio of charismatic alpacas who love posing together for their adoring fans. Buy a handful of animal feed and let them nibble from your palms. There are fancy chickens and colourful birds aplenty, too, plus an unexpected highlight, the Ferret Funhouse, where these playful creatures scamper along ropes and through colourful tubes.

Don't miss:
Stop into the beautiful community garden to admire the blooms and veg, and spot the animal sculptures dotted among the leaves.

When to visit:
Vauxhall City Farm is open from Tuesday-Sunday, 10am-4.30pm.

Ticket info:
Free entry, donations welcomed.

Time Out tip:
Sit outside at the farm's cafe The Old Dairy for a cuppa overlooking the lively duckpond.

Easter Egg Hunt at Vauxhall City Farm

City farms come into their own in spring, when even the most jaded, winter-wearied Londoners will go weak at the knees at the sight of a wobbly newborn lamb, or a huge sow surrounded by improbably tiny pink piglets. Vauxhall City Farm is one of the city's loveliest spots for animal-lovers, with its handpainted wooden signs, attractive flower beds, and charismatic crew of goats, cows, pigs, chickens and more. They're going all out to appeal to families this Easter, with a daily trail that'll send you all round the Community Garden looking for clues. Swap your completed trail sheet for a delicous chocolate egg at the café. And while you're there, check out a packed line-up of activities including Easter bonnet making (bookable in advance), a Science Egg-stravaganza, a cuddle corner, and an all day Kids Film Club.
