Mansion House is the Lord Mayor of London’s official residence, an imposing neoclassical building constructed by George Dance in 1753. It’s the only private residence in the country to have its own court and prison cells for unruly guests. Group visits can be arranged by written application to Diary Office, Mansion House, Walbrook, EC4N 8BH, or by phone 020 7626 2500. Public areas of the house are open by weekly tour (Tue) and as part of Open House London weekend, held in September.
